Joss Croft (BF 81) awarded OBE for services to British tourism

We were delighted to hear recently from Joss Croft (BF 81) who was awarded an OBE by the king at Windsor castle in January.

Career in trade and tourism

Joss, who is currently Chief Executive of UKinbound, has spent more than 25 years in trade and tourism, gaining senior management and leadership experience in an international commercial marketing, sales and communications environment in both the public and private sectors including senior level roles at VisitBritain, VisitLondon and Disneyland Paris. He describes his work in consumer and trade marketing as “mostly at the interface of public and private sectors”

Recognising teamwork

According to industry website Travel Trade Gazette, drawing from Joss’s Twitter feed, Joss makes a point of praising the teams with whom he had worked.

As Joss said, “Many of the successful campaigns and other initiatives I have been involved with throughout my career are, of course, down to the efforts of so many fantastic and dedicated people. Both my team and the board at UKinbound have worked tirelessly to support me over the last two years through the toughest time that the industry has ever known, and I would like to pay tribute to them as they have enabled me to serve our members and the industry that I love to the best of my abilities.”
