Fine art portraiture: Aris Raissis, artist

Aris Raissis (C 76) is an artist specialising in portraiture, figurative work and portraits of animals, reinstating the techniques of the Old Masters to our present day. He also teaches clients on a one-to-one basis.

Services

Painting to commission, Aris has undertaken a wide variety of work for an international clientele. In 1997, he painted the portrait of HRH Prince Alexander of the former Yugoslavia unveiled by HM The Queen at Claridges Hotel, London; in 2010 he was Artist in Residence at Leighton House Museum, Kensington.

In recent times he was commissioned in 2018 to paint the portrait of Prof Abrahams (the first black professor to be accepted at All Souls, University of Oxford in 1959, where the painting hangs permanently in the Dining Hall. In 2020 commissioned to paint the portrait of the former President of Ghana, President Kufuor, Exeter College, University of Oxford. He is currently exhibiting with Gladwell and Patterson, Beauchamp Place, London and Canvas Gallery, Winchester.
