Jan McCourt (Aby 73) runs Northfield Farm Limited, a farm-based butchery and mail order outlet offering rare breed meat to the discerning consumer.

Northfield Farm was first accredited as a butcher by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust in 1997 as a tribute to the quality of its produce and the principles according to which its stock is bred and reared.
Based on a grassland farm specialising in traditional British Breeds, Northfield also operates at local Oakham & Uppingham markets. It also offers a nationwide Mail Order service as well as being one of the longest-standing traders at London’s famous Borough Market.
Very much a family business, Northfield is run by Jan with his two sons Leo & Dom also working on the farm and behind the counters.
