Many OHs will be aware that just over 12 months ago Nick Gandon (M 69 & Former Haileybury Staff) was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer. Given only three months to live, Nick as always rose to the challenge before him and with family and friends set up the Gandon Prodger Legacy Fund to support grass roots cricket https://www.theclubcricketcharity.org/gplf-about/
Nick writes “I am not doing too badly for someone who, 12 months ago, was given 3 months! In so many ways, the last year has been remarkable and I’ve been reminded on an almost daily basis how much kindness and generosity there is in the world.”
The next venture is a charity sleepout at Lord’s on Thursday 27th February 2025. This remarkable event is open to all Society members and it would be a fabulous for our community to support Nick and his family. Please sign up here https://forms.gle/1k1EEHB1dyF4TU6g9
Several OHs including Warwick Okines (Tr 92), Luke Mason (E 00) & Nick’s daughters Jo (H 00) and Amy (H 02) are taking part.
