On April 21st 2024, Ben Hampshire (B 13) will be running the London Marathon in support of WaterAid. As Ben says, his love for running ultimately started in his time at Haileybury.
“Since graduating”, says Ben, “running has played a big part in my life. Now I am fortunate enough to use the sport to raise money for an incredible cause.”
Although he won’t be running until next year, Ben has already raised over £1400 and hopes to smash his target. Please consider supporting Ben by making a donation on his Just Giving page. Any donation to this incredible cause will go directly to supporting fundamental human rights in communities around the world.
About WaterAid
WaterAid performs global, life-changing work to support communities accessing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene. With these three things, people are less likely to get ill, meaning adults can focus on building businesses and careers, children don’t have to miss school, and girls don’t have to miss out because of their periods. Only with these essential human needs met can people break free from poverty and change their own lives for the better. More about WaterAid here.
