Image of Chapel and Terrace at Haileybury

Established in 1862, Haileybury began its life on the quadrangle of the former East India College, which had closed in 1858. Today it is a fully co-educational school with intake split 50:50 between boys and girls.

Use these pages to find out more about Haileybury’s history, about former pupils who have died on active service and to send us your memories about your own time on Quad.

Old Haileyburian "Winged Hearts" Tie - de luxe Silk

Product Details

Haileybury's "hearts and wings" are recognised by Old Haileyburians around the world, forming part of the School crest along with the crossed anchors.

Derived from the Latin Sursum Corda ("lift up your hearts"), which forms the opening dialogue of the Eucharistic Prayer in which we are invited to lift our hearts to God, the phrase is fundamental to the spiritual life of every Haileyburian.

This de luxe silk tie embodies the Haileybury message of service, a message which is emblazoned to this day above the main entrance to the School.

Please note that this tie is only available to alumni who attended Haileybury UK.
