Image of Chapel and Terrace at Haileybury

Established in 1862, Haileybury began its life on the quadrangle of the former East India College, which had closed in 1858. Today it is a fully co-educational school with intake split 50:50 between boys and girls.

Haileybury in Two World Wars by Andrew Hambling

Product Details

The relationship between Haileybury and the armed services is long and profound, with many OHs having served and died for their country in both world wars.

This expertly-researched book brings together personal recollections, period photographs, honours, school artwork, poems and even intimate letters home.

A house-by-house roll-call of honour recounts the names of all those who were killed in these two great conflicts; the youth of many of these fine young men is heart-breaking to behold.

An important historical document for every Haileyburian.
