We are delighted to share an invitation to a special concert by the Gents of St John’s College, Cambridge, to be held in the beautiful Priory Church in Great Malvern, Worcestershire, on Saturday 19^th September at 7pm. This event is being held to raise funds for the work of the Mandalay School for the Deaf Charity, which was established in 2015 by the late much-respected former member of Haileybury staff David Blakeway-Smith (1970-1993, HM Colvin) in memory of his wife Sandy.

The Gents, seven choral scholars, will perform a repertoire ranging from early sacred music, through to folk songs and more modern close-harmony arrangements of jazz standards, pop classics and contemporary hits – certainly, something to suit all musical tastes! Described by BBC Music Magazine as “an immaculately blended, responsive, interactive consort” the Gents of St John’s are widely acclaimed throughout this country and abroad. In recent years, the choir has had the privilege to perform in such venues as the Cadogan Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, and Sydney Opera House.
