On Saturday 24 May, OH Megan Musgrove, née Andrews (Alb 08) returned to Haileybury Chapel for a particularly special family occasion, as she and her husband celebrated the christening of their twins, Alfred and Maya.
For Megan, the Chapel has always held a special place in her heart. During her seven years at Haileybury, she was a member of the Choir and was later confirmed there by Reverend Briggs. The building also carries cherished family memories, as Megan’s mother was married in the Chapel in 1989.

“When it came to having our twins christened, my husband and I knew we wanted to have the christening at Haileybury,” Megan explained. “Haileybury has always been a special place for me, particularly the Chapel.”
The service was led by Reverend Matthew, who helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for family and friends gathered to celebrate the occasion.
“Reverend Matthew was absolutely lovely and made everyone feel very welcome and relaxed for the service,” said Megan. “Alfred and Maya were good as gold and smiled at all the right moments.”
The christening marked another chapter in the Musgrove family’s connection with Haileybury, adding a new generation to the many family memories already associated with the Chapel.
“It was a lovely day, and such a special one for our twins.”
We are delighted that Haileybury Chapel continues to hold such significance for OHs and their families, providing a place where generations can celebrate life’s most important milestones.
Megan’s story is a wonderful reminder of the lasting place Haileybury Chapel holds in the lives of many OHs and their families. If you have celebrated a wedding, christening or other special occasion in the Chapel since leaving School, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
