Perspectives is a new Haileybury publication edited and produced by the Heritage Director Toby Parker.

The fourth edition, published this year contains an interesting lexicon of Haileybury culture and language up until 1942. Many OHs will recognise several unforgettable expressions still used beyond that date - Big Side, Groise and The Boot to name but a few.

The Society has a limited supply of hard copies available at £15 (plus £5 P&P)

Toby Parker has also written a chapter about Haileybury in the recently published book ‘Bright the Vision’ edited by Malcolm Tozer, which gives an insightful view of independent schools’ missions in the Victorian age and beyond. Toby’s chapter includes reference to the Stepney Club and its connection with Haileybury and eminent OH Clement Attlee.
