Established in 1862, Haileybury began its life on the quadrangle of the former East India College, which had closed in 1858. Today it is a fully co-educational school with intake split 50:50 between boys and girls.

A Man of Letters by David Rimmer (Th 76)

David Rimmer (Th 76) has recently published his second book A Man of Letters.

This book showcases David’s fascinating commentary and his prolific ‘letters to the editor’ which have been published in every broadsheet and newspaper including The Times, The Financial Times, the Sunday Times, The i, and The Guardian, together with letters in prestigious magazines such as The Spectator, The Cricketer, The Oldie and Rugby World (to name but a few). The letters cover numerous topics close to David’s heart, including politics, sport, and the local affairs and social issues, and is sure to be an engaging read.

Preface by the parliamentary sketch writer OH Quentin Letts (H 76) and dedicated to David’s mentor Jack Thomas, Former HM of Allenby, Editor of the Haileyburian, and Head of English.

The Society provided a small grant to assist David with the design & printing of his work.
