We are proud to share that Annabelle Smith (M 22), currently in her second year studying Law at the University of Cambridge, will be running the 2026 Cambridge Half Marathon in support of Mind. Since leaving Haileybury, Annabelle has embraced university life with characteristic energy and commitment. Alongside her Law degree, she continues to pursue her sporting passion, playing netball for the Cambridge Blues team. She is also deeply engaged in advocacy work and currently serves as President of the Cambridge University Reproductive Rights Society.

Why Mind?
Annabelle is running in memory of her father, who suddenly passed away in 2018. Her decision to support Mind is deeply personal.
Mind works tirelessly to break the stigma surrounding mental health, encouraging open conversations and ensuring that support is available when it is needed most. Through campaigning, education and frontline services, the charity helps individuals and families navigate some of life’s most challenging moments.
By taking on the Cambridge Half Marathon, Annabelle hopes not only to honour her father’s memory but also to raise vital awareness and funds for mental health support.
As she shares:
“It’s vital to raise awareness and funding for this important charity who work to break the stigma around mental health, encourage people to speak up and ensure that support is there when it is needed most. Any donation helps and you will be supporting such an important cause. Thank you.”
