On 16th March, OH Richard Janes (K 89) will take on the Barcelona Marathon, running 26.2 miles to raise funds for Mark Bowen (LS & K 89) and the Still Mark campaign, a cause that is deeply personal and close to his heart.
Both friends since their days at Haileybury. They were in the same house, played rugby side by side, and shared the camaraderie that comes with school sport. Just four weeks into the Lower Sixth, Mark was playing prop in a County match when a scrum collapsed. He tragically broke his neck, an accident that changed his life forever.
This marathon run is about honouring Mark’s strength and raising vital funds to support the Still Mark campaign and its ongoing work. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference and will be hugely appreciated.
Please support the run and donate via the link below: https://thehaileyburysociety.org/store/Donate-to-Still-Mark-p787675782
Together, we can stand with Mark, every step of the way.
