We are very sad to share the news that Morgan Llewellyn (H 51) passed away peacefully on 12th December 2024, aged 88 after a short battle with Cancer. He served in many significant military roles including with the Welch Fusiliers, in Malaya, Berlin, and Northern Ireland for which he received an MBE in 1976, an OBE in 1979 and a CB in 1992. He was Colonel of the Queen’s Own Gurkha Transport Regiment from 1984-1993 and Director of Army Staff Duties and Chief of Staff, UK Land Forces.
On retiring from the Army in 1991 he studied Theology and as an ordained deacon he became a Minor Canon of Brecon Cathedral in 1993 and Chaplain of Christ College Brecon in 1995.
The Society sends sincere condolences to his wife and family.
