Haileybury history

Image of Chapel and Terrace at Haileybury

Established in 1862, Haileybury began its life on the quadrangle of the former East India College, which had closed in 1858. Today it is a fully co-educational school with intake split 50:50 between boys and girls.

Use these pages to find out more about Haileybury’s history, about former pupils who have died on active service and to send us your memories about your own time on Quad.

Hearts & Wings Necklace - Sterling Silver

Product Details
A delightful addition to our jewellery range, featuring the Hearts and Wings motif of Haileybury, derived from the Sursum Corda motto and as featured on the school crest.

Fashioned from solid sterling silver, this discreet necklace is an elegant and refined way to show your Haileybury credentials when at a social function or School event. Chain length is 18 inches.

For any OH woman who attended Albans, Allenby, Colvin, Hailey and Melvill - or indeed shared one of the other houses in the early days - this necklace makes an extra special gift.
