Supporting OH Sports Clubs

Sport is an international unifier and force for good in the world. As part of its charitable objectives, The Haileybury Society supports a number of sports clubs run by Old Haileyburians.

Old Haileyburian Rugby Football Club (OHRFC)

The OHRFC plays in the Surrey leagues. We play hard and train once a week. Although an Old Boys Club, like most, we now warmly welcome any like-minded players who want to have a good game of rugby and a beer or two afterwards. We are always on the lookout for new players, so if you’re looking for a competitive game of rugby as well as having a good time off the pitch then get in touch.

Old Haileyburian Golfing Society (OHGS)

The OHGS is open to all OHs male and female golfers.

We play a variety Scratch and Handicap golf, so there is something for every golfing ability. The most important aspect to any golf meeting is the company and lunch!

Haileybury competes in the Halford Hewitt, Grafton Morrish and the Mellin Trophy each year.

The Haileybury Hermits

The Haileybury Hermits were formed shortly before the First World War to forge and maintain a link with the school and its old boys. The club has competed in the Cricketer Cup since 1968, its proudest moment coming when they reached the final in 1983.

The Hermits play a number of other fixtures a year including the Sandy Ross memorial 20/20 in August. OHs always wanted!

Rackets plays a significant role in the sporting life of Haileyburians.

The OH Rackets and Real Tennis Society keeps that bond alive, competing in many internationally-recognised competitions, such as the Noel Bruce Tournament, and enjoying an annual club dinner at Queen’s Club in London which is always well attended.

OH Vets Football Club (OHVFC)

This friendly club has seen recent success in the Derrick Moore Cup organised by the Arthurian League.

New members always welcome!

Please help us to help them

As a charity, The Haileybury Society relies on its income from membership fees, legacies and donations of all sizes to achieve our charitable aims of assisting our membership irrespective of age, and supporting the OH community, OH clubs, and the school. It is only through your help that we are able to do this; any donation, no matter its size, is always appreciated.
