It was a real pleasure for Society Secretary Jane Everard and Office Manager Ashley Locke be guests at Haileybury last week, together with Jo Roundell-Green, granddaughter of Clement Attlee (L 1896) and Laetitia Lynn of the Attlee Foundation.

We had an Attlee-related tour of the school which included the Library, Chapel, Pavilion, Dining Hall, and a pupil-led tour of Lawrence house. We enjoyed an insight into the Attlee archives including wonderful photographs and letters, and had tea in the Master’s lodge with current pupils.

Huge thanks to all concerned at Haileybury for making this such a memorable occasion.
