Jonathan Hurndall Smith (E 78) will be walking the South Downs Way at the end of July in memory of Charles Brown (E 77) and to raise money for an MND charity. Charles courageously battled against this debilitating disease for some years, succumbing to it last year. Many Haileyburians will remember him as a generous, charming and loyal friend.

Charles’ sister, Vanessa, who provided amazing care for him throughout his ordeal has been raising money for this charity. Many Haileyburians will also remember Charles’ older brothers William and Richard, both in Edmonstone.
