We are very sorry to advise the death of Nick Gandon (M 69), on Friday 28th February 2025, after a brave battle with cancer. Nick taught at Haileybury from 1993-2003; he served as Registrar from 1997-2003 and was President of The Haileybury Society 2021-23. He touched the lives of many in our community and beyond.

At school Nick was a Prefect, played in the XXX 1974, Captain XI 1973/74, Hockey Captain 1973/74, Fives Captain 1973/74.

Nick’s funeral will be held on 17th March. As space in the venues is limited, in-person attendance other than family has unfortunately to be on an invitation only basis, but others are welcome to join via livestream. A memorial service will take place later in the year on the 25th October at Haileybury, where Nick’s family warmly invites all who knew and loved him to come together to celebrate his life.

We send sincere condolences to Nick’s wife Carole and his OH daughters Jo and Amy and the extended family.
