The Haileybury society is saddened to learn of the death of Piers Knowle Moorhouse Reed (L 66) who has died at the age of 70 on 31st August 2022, following a long illness.
A leading barrister with Brighton-based Westgate Chambers, he was active on the South East and Midlands Circuits as well as being a rape panel member in the CPS Advocate Panel 2016-20.
We have learned that as a Bencher of Lincoln’s Inn, Piers’ death was marked on Friday, 2nd September by the lowering of the flag to half mast and the ringing of the Inn’s bell at lunchtime.
Piers requested a family-only funeral and leaves behind his wife Sarah and three children Pierette, Tanya and Amy, to whom The Society extends its deepest sympathy and sincere condolences at this difficult time.
